4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Trent Thornton (elbow) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday. Thornton was throwing a bullpen session but felt off and was placed on the injured list. The 26-year-old has pitched just once this year, logging 4.0 innings and striking out three. Toronto has yet to announce a starter to replace Thornton, though it's possible that Chase Anderson (oblique)- who was just activated from the injured list- could make the start.--Tim Capurso
