2 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Trent Thornton was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. The 28-year-old righty will replace Tim Mayza (shoulder), who landed on the 15-day injured list with a dislocated shoulder, in the Jays bullpen. Thornton, who was just optioned to Triple-A back on July 30, owns a 4.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 30:15 K/BB ratio over 38 innings with Toronto this year.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
