Trent Thornton Surrenders Three Runs On Wednesday
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Trent Thornton allowed three runs on seven hits through 4 2/3 innings during a 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. Thornton walked three batters while striking out five. It was not the cleanest performance from the 25-year-old, who now owns a 1-4 record on the season to go along with a 4.53 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 65/28 K/BB rate. Thornton is capable of strong strikeout totals, but he is a mid-tier streaming option at best. His next expected start comes against the New York Yankees.
