3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith has continued to miss practice and that is putting his availability for the regular-season opener on September 12th in question. This entire saga began back on August 3rd when Smith sustained what is now believed to be a hamstring injury. He then missed time until August 17th, when he briefly returned, but he then hasn't been practicing since. With Michael Thomas recovering from ankle surgery, Smith is expected to take on a huge role this season but his status remains unclear at the moment and whether he can take the field in Week 1 is in question. Guys like Marquez Callaway and Lil'Jordan Humphrey should be considered flex options if Smith cannot play Week 1 as they will be seeing a decent number of targets as the top two receivers on the team. This is also factoring in that the top two TEs on the team, Adam Trautman and Nick Vannett, are also dealing with injuries that could sideline them for the first couple of games.--Rishi Patel - RotoBaller
