4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith had a very quiet Week 1 game in a 34-23 win over the Buccaneers. Smith caught his lone target for four yards in what was a sloppy offensive game for New Orleans. It seemed to be a series of strange play calls from head coach Sean Payton, who said as much in the postgame presser. The 24-year-old was handpicked by his own quarterback Drew Brees as a breakout candidate this year, so the potential is there. Perhaps a juicy matchup in Week 2 against the Oakland Raiders can get Smith going.--Tim Capurso
