3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Trevor Bauer continued his strong start of the season by picking up his sixth victory of the year versus the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday. Bauer tossed 6 2/3 innings and allowed five hits, four runs (three earned), one walk and struck out five on the evening. All of the damage allowed by Bauer in the contest were off of a two-run home run by Dylan Carlson and a pair of solo home runs by Tyler O'Neill and Justin Williams. Bauer continues to shine on the mound, but he only has eight strikeouts over his last two starts and his previous season-low in a game was six on April 29. Managers still shouldn't worry about the low number of strikeouts of late with Bauer's history of being one of the best strikeout artists in the game. Bauer will carry a 6-3 record to go along with a 2.24 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings heading into his next matchup versus the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. Bauer should be started by managers every start he makes.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
