5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer threw 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball against the Blue Jays Tuesday night. Bauer scattered three hits and three walks while striking out nine in the dominant effort. Bauer hasn't been the ace he was last season, but still has a 3.49 ERA with a very good 12 percent swinging-strike rate. He strikes out batters at a 27.8 percent rate and is consistently allowed to pitch deep into games which helps him earn wins. Bauer's name has been thrown around in trade rumors, but if the Indians hang onto the 28-year-old righty he has a dream matchup at Kansas City Sunday.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
