5 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer was hit hard in a 17-7 loss to the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. Bauer gave up nine runs on eight hits over 4 1/3 innings of work. He struck out four and walked two in the loss. Bauer cruised through the first four innings, allowing just one run before a disastrous fifth inning struck and quickly chased him from the game. The right-hander hasn't been particularly great through his first three starts for the Reds, posting a 7.37 ERA. He will hope for a better result when he squares off against the San Diego Padres on Monday.--Matt T - RotoBaller
