Trevor Bauer Struck By Line Drive
6 years agoIndians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer (ankle) left Saturday's game against the White Sox after being struck in the right ankle. Bauer dominated Chicago up until the seventh inning when a comebacker from Jose Abreu hit his leg and forced him out of the game. Through six and one-third innings, Bauer allowed two hits, one run and struck out eight. If he could have stayed in longer, he would have, but the pain must have been excruciating. He was sent in for an x-ray, however, manager Terry Francona believes he will be OK. More news about the severity of Bauer's injury should be known shortly.
