Trevor Cahill Has Rough Outing Saturday, But Comes Away With No-Decision
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Trevor Cahill had his first poor outing of the season Saturday in a 5-4 loss to the Royals. Cahill surrendered four runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. The A's were able to tie the game in the top of the eighth, so Cahill was spared the loss. Despite the poor start, the 30-year-old has been great this season, posting a 1-2 record with a 2.77 ERA, 47 strikeouts, and 11 walks in 48 2/3 innings pitched. Cahill will look to redeem himself against the Royals in his next scheduled start Friday.
