6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Trevor Cahill has been nursing an Achilles injury and was scratched for his previous start. He is now likely headed to the disabled list, as manager Bob Melvin says that Cahill's Achilles has not improved. Cahill has been surprisingly productive for Oakland thus far, as he is 1-2 with a 2.77 ERA and has struck out 47 batters in 48 2/3 innings. If he's rostered, you can feel free to drop him to free agency, but keep an eye on him for his return if you'd like him back in time.--Brendan Kennealy
