7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Trevor Cahill was optioned to Nashville on Wednesday, according to Martin Gallegos of the Mercury News. The recent plan is for Cahill to get stretched out in at least one start in a minor league game before getting a starting spot with the big league club. Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle recently theorized that Cahill might return near April 11, in line to replace to Daniel Gossett in the rotation.
