4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Cahill earned his first win of the season on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings of work. He continued his early season trend of alternating good starts and bad starts, as Saturday's performance came on the heels of a four inning start against Milwaukee in which he allowed seven runs — six earned — on eight hits and one walk. He's in line for a start against the Cardinals in his next turn through the rotation, which could be a matchup that's worth using him as a streamer in deeper leagues as St. Louis is currently hitting .223 with a 24.6 percent strikeout rate.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
