Trevor Lawrence Shows Off Strong Arm In Preseason Opener

2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence connected on 6-of-12 passing attempts for 95 yards and a touchdown, including a 36-yard pass to Zay Jones on his first throw of Friday's loss to the Cleveland Browns. The second-year quarterback also rushed for 11 yards on one attempt in the three offensive series he appeared in. With former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson at the helm in Jacksonville, Lawrence is expected to put his 2021 rookie campaign behind him in 2022. The Jaguars aggressively got him more weapons this season by signing Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, and Evan Engram.
