2 years agoNew Orleans Saints rookie offensive tackle Trevor Penning tore a ligament in his foot and will require surgery, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. He suffered the injury during Friday's preseason game when an opponent stepped on him. He was carted off the field and has now been ruled out indefinitely. James Hurst is slated to play left tackle in Penning's absence, though it's worth noting that he's dealing with a foot injury of his own and isn't a lock to play in Week 1, either.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
