Trevor Rogers Doesn't Make It Past The Second Inning Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was annihilated by the Philadelphia Phillies lineup during Saturday's 10-3 loss. He lasted just 1.2 innings after allowing seven runs on four hits, four walks, and three strikeouts. Rogers is now 0-2 to begin the 2022 season. This start doesn't reflect the talent of the left-hander, who posted a 2.64 ERA with a 28.5 K% and 1.15 WHIP across 25 starts last year. However, he declined from July onward with a 3.76 ERA and 25.7 K%. Still, Rogers was a hot commodity during fantasy drafts with an ADP of 93 and fantasy managers with shares of the 24-year-old shouldn't let one poor start bother them too much. Rogers will look to bounce back in his next start, expected to come during a weekend series against the Atlanta Braves.
