Trevor Rogers Tosses Six Shutout Innings In Rehab Start
2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers (back) looked great in his minor league rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. He threw six shutout innings without allowing a hit while walking one and striking out 12. It was a nice bounce-back outing after he gave up five runs in just two innings in his first start for Jacksonville last week. The 24-year-old southpaw has had a rough season in the big leagues in 2022 with a 4-10 record, 5.85 ERA (4.58 FIP), a 1.59 WHIP and an 83:41 K:BB in 87 2/3 innings over 19 starts. Rogers made the All-Star team last year and had a pristine 2.64 ERA in 25 starts, so he's been a massive disappointment this season. He'll be hoping for a strong start to the season at least, but fantasy managers shouldn't get their hopes up.
