Trevor Rosenthal Allows One Run In Spring Debut
4 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal allowed one run in one inning of work in his Cactus League debut Wednesday. It wasn't pretty for the right-hander as he allowed two hits and a walk, but his performance is secondary to the fact Rosenthal was healthy enough to appear in spring action despite a groin injury that limited him early in camp. Last season between Kansas City and San Diego Rosenthal converted 11 of 12 save chances with a 1.90 ERA and a whopping 41.8 percent strikeout rate. While he may not pitch to those heights again, Rosenthal is a top-12 closer to target in fantasy who should see the bulk of Oakland's save opportunities.
