4 years agoThe San Diego Padres have acquired right-handed reliever Trevor Rosenthal from the Kansas City Royals, a move that revamps the club’s bullpen in the wake of closer Kirby Yates (elbow) having landed on the IL earlier in August. Rosenthal has revitalized his career in the early part of 2020 with the Royals, having amassed seven saves to go along with 21 strikeouts in 13 ⅔ innings. Even with the move, Rosenthal is likely to retain closer duties in his new surroundings and should be rostered in virtually all season-long formats.--Jesse Borek
