Trevor Story Beginning Rehab Assignment Wednesday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story (wrist) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Portland on Wednesday. Story hasn't played in a game since July 12 due to renewed pain in his fractured right wrist. The 29-year-old could return to the Red Sox's lineup by this weekend, barring any setbacks. When he's ready, he'll return to a .221/.289/.423 slash line with 15 home runs, 58 RBI, 49 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 307 at-bats in his first year in Beantown. Story should be stashed in all fantasy leagues at this time. Christian Arroyo has been handling everyday duties at the keystone of late for Boston, but he'll go back to a super-utility role for the Red Sox when Story returns to the team.
