6 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story (elbow) remained out of the starting lineup on Friday against the Diamondbacks, but the good news is that manager Bud Black said the superstar might only be out two or three more games. The All-Star shortstop missed two games in Los Angeles after hurting his right elbow while diving and making a throw on Monday. Story's progress gives the team confidence that he'll play "in the next 10 days." He took some swings in batting practice and played catch both Thursday and Friday. Story also said he could pinch hit on Friday, but Black said Story would likely be limited to pinch-running duties. The MVP candidate looks like he'll be able to return this season in the final week and a half, but it remains to be seen how effective he'll be for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
