Trevor Story Goes 1-For-3 In Return On Thursday
3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 1-for-3 with a single, a run scored, a walk, and a strikeout in an 11-4 loss to the Miami Marlins on Thursday. Story had been out since May 27 with elbow inflammation so it was nice to see him back in the lineup. Unfortunately for the Rockies, it didn't make much of a difference as they were blown out by the Marlins. The 28-year-old shortstop has underwhelmed this season considering he was a borderline first-round pick in fantasy drafts this spring. He's got a .257/.325/.422 batting line to go along with 12 doubles, five home runs, 23 RBI, and eight stolen bases across 187 at-bats. He should pick things up at the dish now that he's back and healthy. There's a good chance he's moved at the trade deadline this summer, which could negatively impact his fantasy value as he'll be playing his home games away from Coors Field for the first time in his career.
