3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and two strikeouts in a 10-5 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday. Story was hitless heading into the eighth inning before he smacked a two-run tater off Caleb Baragar. The two-run blast, his 19th of the season, had no material impact on the game as it pulled the Rockies within five runs, which is the same margin they would lose by. But it counts for fantasy all the same and that's what matters. For the year, Story has a .249/.328/.464 batting line with 19 home runs, 65 RBI, and 18 stolen bases over 446 at-bats. It's been fairly underwhelming for the 28-year-old shortstop, who was a borderline first-round pick last spring.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
