Trevor Story Not Starting Against Yankees
2 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Trevor Story (heel) is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against the New York Yankees. Story will start on the bench for the start of a two-game series against the division rivals after leaving Sunday's game early with left heel pain. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day and remove him from your starting lineups. The 29-year-old slugger has dealt with various injuries in 2022 in his first year in Beantown and is hitting just .238/.303/.434, but he does have 16 home runs, 66 RBI, 53 runs scored and 13 stolen bases in 357 at-bats. Christian Arroyo is manning the keystone and hitting sixth on Tuesday against Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole. Arroyo doesn't rack up the counting stats as a super-utility guy, but he's been consistent with the bat this year and is hitting .280 (7-for-25) with a homer, eight RBI and two runs in seven games over the last two weeks.
