Trevor Story Scores A Run In Saturday's Defeat
3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and two strikeouts in a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Story has been in and out of the lineup over the last five games while dealing with a non-specific leg injury. He started Saturday's contest and went hitless--Colorado only picked up three hits as a team--but did reach base with a walk and scored a run. It's been an underwhelming season for the typically productive 28-year-old shortstop. Many figured he would have been shipped off to a contender at the trade deadline but the Rockies chose to keep him in hopes of re-signing him to a long-term deal this offseason. Story is slashing .244/.322/.444 with 16 home runs, 58 RBI, and 17 stolen bases over 414 at-bats.
