3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Trevor Williams will start Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader against Washington. With Wednesday's contest getting postponed due to inclement weather, Marcus Stroman will now start Game 1, allowing Williams to get some work with the big club. The 29-year-old, who was recently acquired from the Chicago Cubs during the Javier Baez trade, has fared well during his time in Syracuse thus far. Williams has upside for those managers in desperate need of pitching. However, he shouldn't be viewed as anything other than a streaming option, at least not at the moment.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
