3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance is under the impression he will be the team's starter this season, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Niners are reportedly pleased with Lance's development this offseason, so it seems logical that the sophomore will be atop the depth chart in 2022-23. The market also hasn't been favorable for a Jimmy Garoppolo trade, although he will likely support the young signal-caller if he's not dealt by then. Nonetheless, the 21-year-old had an excellent collegiate career and has the potential to be a potent quarterback.
