3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance has not officially been tabbed as the team's starting quarterback for 2022, but he certainly sounds as if he will be preparing that way throughout the offseason. Saying he will "be ready to go Week 1," Lance is widely expected to be the team's signal-caller once San Francisco officially moves on from Jimmy Garoppolo. Selected with the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Lance made two starts during the regular season and showed flashes of the captivating dual-threat QB he could become next season. While he is unlikely to be in high demand in eight- or 10-team leagues, Lance will be a highly coveted asset in two-QB leagues, assuming the 49ers do officially tab him as the starter for Week 1.--Jesse Borek
