Trey Lance Inactive Against The Vikings
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance was inactive for the second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. The 22-year-old did well in the preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers with four completions for 92 yards and a TD on five pass attempts. Lance, who was born in Marshall, Minnesota, about 155 miles southwest of Minneapolis, quarterbacked Marshall High School to an 8-0 record and a spot in the 2017 Class 4A state tournament. His presence attracted many Marshall fans to joint practices with the Vikings during the week. Unfortunately, the sellout crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium did not get to see Lance for a single snap. Niners coach Kyle Shanahan said Lance and some of the 27 other players who rested are expected to be back for the upcoming Thursday Night Football preseason game against the Houston Texans on August 25. The former No.3 overall pick has an FFPC ADP of 81.24 and is a borderline Q1 in upcoming fantasy drafts.
