3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance (finger) injured his right index finger in a preseason game last year, and although it didn't keep him from playing in the regular season, he admitted it impacted him when he threw the football. Lance said he focused more on getting healthy this offseason than adjusting any of his mechanics. "But now, I feel like I'm in a great spot, health-wise, and throwing the ball well, and feeling really good," Lance said. It remains to be seen if the Niners will trade Jimmy Garoppolo before training camp, but with Garoppolo still rehabbing from shoulder surgery, Lance will handle all the first-team repetitions during organized team activities and is still expected to be the team's starting signal-caller come Week 1 of the regular season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
