Trey Mancini Hits Game-Tying Homer Sunday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini made his one at-bat count in Sunday's 7-5 extra-innings loss to the White Sox, hitting a pinch-hit, game-tying two-run home run. Mancini came to the plate down two with two outs and a runner on first in the bottom of the ninth. He went with a Liam Hendricks fastball and lined it over the right-field wall to tie the game at 4. Mancini has struggled at the plate lately but still brings a respectable .256/.331/.460 slash line with 16 HR and 55 RBI into the All-Star break. He obviously has provided some solid fantasy production at times this season, so a few days of a break may be just what he needs to pick things up again.
