Trey Mancini Leaves Game Wednesday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini left the game after being hit by a pitch in the left arm Wednesday afternoon in Oakland. The extent of the injury is not currently known, but Mancini was in obvious pain around home plate and left the game holding his arm. Chris Davis came into the game to pinch run and take over at the cold corner. Mancini was quietly having a nice season with a .304 average and a robust .558 slugging percentage. He was leading the O's in home runs and runs scored and the favorite to be the team's All-Star representative. His status will likely be updated after the game ends.
