Trey Sermon To Enter Concussion Protocol
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Trey Sermon (concussion) will enter the league's concussion protocol. After the rookie was a healthy scratch for Week 1, he was active on Sunday against Philadelphia to help fill the void caused by the absence of Raheem Mostert (knee), who recently underwent season-ending surgery. However, after newly anointed starter Elijah Mitchell briefly exited the Week 2 matchup versus the Eagles, Sermon was injured during the first professional carry of his career. The former Ohio State Buckeye could be questionable in Week 3, although it might not matter much for fantasy managers, primarily since he wasn't anticipated to get much action in the immediate future anyway.
