Tristan Wirfs Ruled Out For Rest Of Game
3 years agoAfter trying to return for one offensive series, Tampa Bay Buccaneers right tackle Tristan Wirfs (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Wirfs hobbled to the locker room on the first offensive series of the game and didn't look right when he tried to return. Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen was shaken up in the first half as well, but he was able to return. In a 31-0 blowout at the start of the fourth quarter, keeping Wirfs in at less than 100% made zero sense. There's a good chance that the Bucs could start pulling other starters, including quarterback Tom Brady, before the end of the game. Brady has already been sacked four times, which could be an issue in the Divisional Round if Wirfs is unable to play.
