Triston Casas Belts Monstrous Homer On Tuesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox first base prospect Triston Casas hit his second home run of the season on Tuesday in Triple-A action, going 1-for-3 with the HR, two RBI, and two walks. The HR was a mammoth 477-ft homer. Casas, the 16th ranked MLB prospect and second-ranked prospect in the Boston organization by MLB Pipeline, is off to a slow start in 2022. He is batting just .182 over 22 at-bats, with just four hits, inclusive of the two homers. Despite the slow start, Casas projects as a middle-of-the-order starting first baseman with a huge power profile and a strong walk rate. Casas should be in Fenway Park at some point this season. He is a must-roster in dynasty formats. Managers in deep redraft formats should keep an eye on Casas for help in the power department once rumors of an impending call-up to Boston start to gain momentum later this season.
