3 years agoThe Boston Red Sox invited prospects Triston Casas, David Hamilton, Durbin Feltman and Chris Murphy to major league camp on Saturday as non-roster invitees. Casas is the highest-profile prospect the Red Sox will have in big-league camp this year, with Baseball America ranking him No. 19 on their top-100 list. He's expected to begin the season with Triple-A Worcester. The 22-year-old left-handed hitter slashed .279/.394/.484 with 14 home runs, 59 RBI and seven stolen bases in 86 games for Worcester and Double-A Portland in 2021. Casas then hit an impressive .372 with seven extra-base hits in 21 Arizona Fall League games. He has impressive raw power, uses all fields and knows how to control the strike zone.
