Triston McKenzie Earns First Win
4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie went five innings allowing no runs, two hits, and four walks while striking out five to earn his first win Thursday against the Kansas City Royals. It was a solid start from McKenzie, but the walks still chased him early and he has yet to make it beyond five innings pitched this season. That being said, the potential is still there and if he can cut down on the walks, he could be very special for this Indians squad. He will carry a 4.94 ERA and 34 strikeouts across 23 2/3 innings pitched into a start next week against the Chicago Cubs.
