Troy Brouwer Shows Signs Of Life
7 years agoCalgary Flames right wing Troy Brouwer picked up two points on Monday against the Penguins, scoring the team's final goal in the 4-3 overtime loss and picking up an assist on Mark Giordano's tally that started the visitors' comeback from a two-goal deficit. As a former 40-point scorer, Brouwer has been awful this season, getting only five goals and 19 points, but he actually now has two multiple-point games in his last five outings, so maybe he's just been saving his best for the final stretch of the regular season. He logged the sixth most minutes among the team's forwards against Pittsburgh, even getting some time on the power play.
