3 years agoMinnesota Twins infield prospect Jose Miranda posted on his Instagram account that he's being called up to the major leagues, and he's expected to join the Twins this week in Baltimore. First baseman Miguel Sano (knee) landed on the injured list on Sunday and outfielder Kyle Garlick (calf) is likely headed there as well, so the Twins need reinforcements. Miranda, the team's No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was hitting just .256 with two home runs, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored in 21 games for Triple-A St. Paul before his call-up. However, the 23-year-old infielder has power to spare after hitting 30 home runs and driving in 94 runs in 127 games with St. Paul and Double-A Wichita last year in the minors.
