Twins, Phillies Interested In Tyler Mahle
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies are among the teams interested in Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Tyler Mahle, an underrated pitcher that has been very good of late. The rebuilding Reds dealt ace Luis Castillo to the Seattle Mariners last week for a big prospect haul, and they probably aren't done trading before Tuesday's deadline. Mahle and infielder Brandon Drury could both be gone at some point as well. Mahle is 5-7 overall with a 4.40 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 114 strikeouts in 104 1/3 innings over 19 starts for the Reds this year. The 27-year-old right-hander hasn't allowed over three earned runs in his last four starts, striking out 24 and walking eight in that span. Mahle would gain more fantasy appeal if he were dealt to a contender.
