6 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak has disappointed fantasy owners mightily in 2018, but at least for one night he didn’t completely let them down. In an 11-4 loss to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday, Smoak finished 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. It’s Smoak’s second double in four games, but in the grand scheme of things that’s not much of a reason to get excited. He only has five extra-base hits in June and just a single one has left the yard (back on June 3). Smoak’s power has been sapped after a breakout 2017, and there’s no indication it’s coming back anytime soon.--John Smith
