7 years agoIt feels like we write about Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar just about every day, but the man is more than deserving of it. Pillar was one of the lone bright spots for Toronto in a 10-5 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Thursday, serving as the only Blue Jay to pick up multiple hits and the only one to knock an extra-base hit -- a double. It was the second consecutive game that saw Pillar have a multi-hit result, raising his slash line to a ridiculous .308/.344/.509 on the year with four home runs, 26 runs scored, 19 RBI and eight stolen bases. There’s bound to be some regression here with his current .350 BABIP, but clearly Pillar is going to remain a very useful player nonetheless.--John Smith
