Ty Blach To Make Rockies Opening Day Roster
3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Ty Blach will be on the Opening Day roster, according to Nick Groke of The Athletic. The news comes after the announcement that Ryan Rolison (shoulder) will start the season on the 60-day injured list. Blach will be used as a long man out of the bullpen but could see some spot starts if an injury pops up. The 31-year-old has had a decent spring, posting a 4.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with six strikeouts in nine innings. He hasn't appeared in a big-league game since 2019 with the Baltimore Orioles when he pitched to the tune of a 12.00 ERA over 27 innings and five starts. Fantasy managers can pay little attention to Blach this season unless he can find a spot in the rotation and somehow find success that he's never found before.
