Ty France Collects an Opening Day RBI
4 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Ty France went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored on opening day. France's run-scoring hit was a looping liner to center field to bring in J.P. Crawford as the first run of an eventual six in the bottom of the eighth. France got off to a torrid spring, and he's now looking to carry that success over into the regular season. While he was not the biggest star in this one, he still found ways to contribute. Fantasy managers have to be particularly encouraged by his spot in the batting order. The two-hole should offer France plenty of plate appearances and opportunities to accrue counting stats.
