Ty France Out With Wrist Injury Wednesday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (wrist) is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers after tweaking his left wrist swinging in front of an offspeed pitch on Tuesday. The injury isn't related to the elbow sprain that he suffered last month, according to skipper Scott Servais. The injury doesn't sound very serious, so fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old All-Star to be day-to-day. With France out, Carlos Santana will start at first base and hit cleanup against Rangers right-hander Jon Gray. Santana has nine home runs on the season, but he hasn't done much at the plate otherwise all year. He's slashing .091/.225/.273 with two homers and five RBI in 10 games over the last two weeks.
