4 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Ty France had been on an awful skid entering Friday, going hitless in 21 at-bats since April 29. Against the Rangers, France went 1-for-4 with a double, breaking the streak in the top of the fourth inning. For the season, France is now slashing .246/.351/.395. He was dropped from second to fourth in the batting order tonight, and if he doesn't get things turned around, it's hard to imagine him being elevated back to the advantageous second spot in the order. His fantasy value remains steady for now, but expectations are cooling since his hot spring.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
