Ty Montgomery Scores In Quiet Week 6
6 years agoGreen Bay running back Ty Montgomery had four carries for 12 yards in a Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. One of those runs was really a bubble screen in which the pass travelled backwards. It went for a touchdown in the first quarter. Montgomery, a former wide receiver, added two catches on three targets for 10 yards. Montgomery has taken a backseat in this offense to running backs Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones. Montgomery is primarily used in hurry-up situations and passing downs. This role does not have enough volume to make Montgomery a reliable fantasy option. The touchdown bumped up his stats a bit but you shouldn’t count on consistent touchdown production going forward. Montgomery should maybe be owned in deep PPR leagues but can be left on the waiver wire in most league formats.
