Tyler Allgeier Scores Twice In Win

2 years agoAtlanta Falcons rookie running back Tyler Allgeier rushed eight times for 26 yards and a touchdown while catching his only target for a two-yard touchdown in Saturday's 28-12 preseason win over the Jaguars. He had a massive performance, finding the end zone twice on nine touches in the preseason finale. The 22-year-old caught a two-yard touchdown pass from Desmond Ridder in the first quarter and then scored a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. While his roster spot is likely secured, Allgeier has an uphill fight to fantasy relevance. Cordarrelle Patterson is the starter, while Damien Williams appears to be the top backup. However, Allgeier could work his way into the rotation early in the season.--Mike Fanelli
