Tyler Chatwood Likely Done For The Year
4 years agoChicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Tyler Chatwood appeared on track to be a breakout star in 2020 following his first two starts of the year. Alas, he has made just five starts this season to the tune of a 5.30 ERA and is likely done for the remainder of the campaign after a downturn in health as he attempted to return from a strained right forearm. The club appears to have found his replacement in the rotation in the form of righty Alec Mills, who tossed a no-hitter in his most recent outing. Chatwood is set to become a free agent at season’s end, having potentially made his last appearance in a Cubs uniform, barring a drastic upswing in health over the next six weeks.
