3 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Tyler Conklin continues to do his best to fill in for Irv Smith Jr. (knee), who remains out with a torn meniscus. The 26-year-old entered Week 4 against Cleveland fresh off a seven-catch, 70-yard performance against the Seahawks, where he also scored a touchdown. However, Conklin cooled off against the Browns and finished with only four grabs for 18 yards. Still, while he may have a few more productive outings moving ahead this season, he continues to be a risky fantasy option and should be treated as such. As a result, unless managers are completely desperate, he should remain on the bench in Week 5 against the Detroit Lions and beyond until he proves he can perform consistently from week to week.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
